During the Kays Family time in search of an exciting adventure based outdoors, the family found an activity for their sons. (As the boy’s rights into everything and anything Army themed) 20 years ago Philip and Rhonda discovered Laser Skirmised in Brisbane when it was just starting to hit the mainstream. The boy had such a great time and created so many fun memories shooting each other with the laser tag guns. ( especially shooting their Mother ) It was then and there when the family took it in their stride to set up the very first Laser Assault - Laser skirmish in the Wide Bay Region. Endurance 8 hours long GAMES for Laser Assault regulars. - Laser Assault veterans. ( Players)
To this day the Kay Family and their honorable squad (employees) look forward to sharing the exciting outdoor recreational sport laser skirmish that Laser Assault has to offer.
We don't just do birthday parties; we also do team building, corporate events shows, and festivals/fetes, sporting, and school break-ups, rewards days, youth camp activity, vacation care activity, and more!
The Commanding Officer (CHEWY)
Phillip is a radio technician by trade and has been involved in the telecommunications, entertainment, and lighting industry for over 30 years. The role of Chewy AKA (Phillip) is the communications Laser Assault Officer. He ensures all the weapons are in working order for each mission as well as being the Commanding Officer for the entire Wide Bay Laser Skirmish
Enlistment Officer (RADAR)
Radar aka (Rhonda) was the Wide Bay Laser Skirmish Enlistment Officer and ensured sessions ran like clockwork. She passed on her exceptional organizational skills from her training in her past career as a top secretary and recreational officer onto her son Benjamin and his partner as they eventually took over the charge and management of Laser Assault - A Family Operated Business
Wookie
Tim (aka Wookie) Joins us up in the Wide Bay area specifically helping to run endurance (8 hour long games) sessions for our "regular" players aka "veterans"
Tim and Ben, are both ranked players as in the past they used to play as a national and state team with others from across the state of Queensland and Australia.
Top Gun + Cowgirl
Nowadays, their son Benjamin (aka Top Gun) still plays regularly and runs their operations on the Sunshine Coast with his partner Bella (aka Cowgirl).
